Before You Begin
These points are absolutely critical for getting an accurate Purimax trial result. If your employees are the ones doing the trial, be explicit with them on the points below.
Who Is Running the Pilot?
I’m running the pilot myself
Keep the instructions visible and follow the same process every frying day.
An employee is running the pilot
Choose one responsible person, review the process together, and emphasize consistency and following the instructions exactly.
4 Things to Remember Before the Pilot
Start With Fresh Oil
Begin the pilot with a fresh batch of frying oil so the results are measured from a clear baseline.
Use Purimax Every Frying Day
Use Purimax every frying day without missing a day. If a day is skipped, the oil can begin degrading faster and the trial may no longer be accurate. Purimax works best when used consistently from the first day of fresh oil.
Measure and Mix Correctly
Use the recommended amount and mix it thoroughly into the oil according to the pilot instructions.
Do Not Change Oil on the Normal Schedule
Continue the pilot beyond your normal oil-change day as long as the oil remains usable. Changing the oil automatically on the restaurant’s normal schedule is one of the most common reasons a trial fails.
DURING THE PILOT
Keep the Trial on Track
Use this quick-reference guide for the most important trial rules and common filtration situations.
Trial Success Checklist
Stay Consistent Every Day
Special Situations
Shared Filtration Systems
If multiple vats share one filtration system, use Purimax on every vat. Untreated vats can reintroduce degraded oil into the system.
Filtering More Than Once Daily
Add fresh Purimax only during the final filtration of the day. Earlier filters can be used for debris removal.
Slower Oil Return
A slower return can be normal after Purimax is added. If flow becomes too slow, gently clear excess material from the filter paper.
Keep Your Normal Schedule
Continue following your fryer’s normal filter-paper replacement procedure at night or the following morning.
Protect the Oil During the Trial
Remove food debris regularly and minimize excess water or ice entering the fryer. These factors can shorten oil life and affect trial results.
Most Important
Do Not Change the Oil Just Because You Reached the Normal Change Day
The purpose of the pilot is to see how much longer the oil remains usable beyond your normal schedule. Continue evaluating the oil so the actual extension can be measured.
